Search Engine Marketers of New England (SEMNE) announced today its next event, "Using Marketing to Enhance Your Search Traffic," with headliner Vanessa Fox, the ex-Googler and frequent speaker. The event, September 16 in Trumbull, Connecticut, is billed as a "high energy presentation" in which attendees will learn:

  • What to do with web analytics data
  • How to incorporate email marketing efforts into SEO campaigns
  • Integrating offline messages with your online presence
  • How your paid search campaigns can be used in conjunction with your organic search listings

Vanessa is the founder of Google’s Webmaster Central. She left Google in June 2007, briefly worked at Zillow and now works for Ignition Partners as an “entrepreneur in residence.” She is a prominent technology blogger, and public speaker.

If you're unfamiliar with SEMNE events, these are great regional networking opportunities, combining a warm and welcoming social atmosphere with some top-flight learning opportunities.  "This venue is easy to get to, and we'll have the usual light fare, as well as a cash bar, plenty of networking time and a great presentation by Vanessa Fox,"  say SEMNE's Jonathan Hochman and Jill Whallen. "SEMNE member eVision is buying the first round of drinks."

  • Where: Trumbull Marriott Merritt Parkway - Trumbull, CT (Near Bridgeport, Milford and Stratford)
  • When: Sept. 16, 2008 from 6:30PM-9:00PM
  • Speaker: Vanessa Fox, formerly with Google and Zillow; Currently with Search Engine Land and Ignition Partners

This lively seminar and luncheon offers valuable tips from veteran catalog designer Sarah Fletcher, email marketer Dwight Sholes, and (yours truly) website usability guy Tom Funk. Two lucky SEMNE members will qualify for free passes to the event ($150) value. So if you're a member, contact SEMNE to learn more!
